چکیده

Houttuynia cordata Thunb. is an edible and medicinal plant that belongs to the family of Saururaceae widely distributes in Eastern Asia countries. H. have been reported as a promising anticancer agent against various cancer cells. This study was determine anti-proliferative effect extract on gastric cells using vitro experimental model. The cytotoxicity examined via 2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, while cell migration conducted by wound healing assay. gene expression level measured real time PCR. result showed butanol exhibited highest activity BGC-823 with IC50 value 193 µg/ml. Moreover, assay determined suppressive capacity at concentration 50 Notably, treatment (50 µg/ml) able up-regulate mRNA apoptosis-mediated signaling molecules, including caspase-8, Bax, caspase-9, caspase-3 These results indicate possesses inhibitory tumor development metastasis induction process programmed death.
